Hotel Lion D'Or - Haarlem

The location was marvellous and fantastic, at a walking distance from a central market square. We needed to stay next to a train station.

In my opinion, it is the best hotel location to dream of if you are going to travel around the country. bus stop is right in front of the hotel, as is the railway station. It's a 10-minute walk to the main square. bus stop to the airport is also on the square. runs every 5-7 minutes. travel time 35-40 minutes, costs 6, 5€, Beautiful breakfasts. There are also fruits, yogurts. cereals, eggs, meats, eggs, cheese, bacon, pastries, tasty croissants and salted fish, The staff are responding to all requests. room is spacious enough! clean. warm. clean. is rare for hotels. There is an ironing board and iron in the room, kettle and coffee machine,

Very cold bathroom floor! If the shower were better fenced, the water would flood the floor less. There wasn't enough bathrobes.

Very close to the station, for trips to Amsterdam - a great option for a night at a price 1.5-2 times lower than in Amsterdam itself. 1. elevator broke down at the end of his stay. tired. Worked hard. As a result, at the end of his stay, he drove his suitcases down the spiral staircase himself, manually. staff just put up a written apology. In other hotels, in such cases, I met the help of the staff on the descent of the luggage. 2. In strong winds, sun visors on the facade of the building are fluttering. So you can hear at night. It's keeping me awake. Turned this problem to the front desk, I got the answer that they can't control the wind! Yeah, it's okay to bolt the visors or remove them at all or replace them. 3. There was no ruffle in the toilet... 4. You have to cook your own eggs at breakfast. certainly improves their degree of readiness on their own, hands in the egg whites... One frying pan for all... =========. 1. Lift broke at last. We were forced to get down the baggage by ourthelves. In other hotels personel helps at such cases. 2. Solar canopies are very noisy during strong wind at the street. It interrupted our sleeping. Personel refused to fix - "we dont manage wind". 3. There is not wc-borstel... 4. Eggs should be cooked individually. only 1 pan. your hands in result are in the egg protein (dirty).

The air conditioning was a nice feature. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were tidy and clean.

i,ve been to this hotel twice, if i go on holiday again to holland i,ll will be staying at the golden tulip hotel, i like everything about this hotel, staff, rooms, cleanliness,

Good location. Near train station and close to centre of city. Generous sized rooms

Convenient, pleasant

Internet access- I feel strongly that the hotel should provide better and free internet access. Had dinner once- 22Euro for pasta- ridiculously expensive

A clean well appointed Hotel, convenient for Railway Station. Very convenient for City Centre, without the noise and nightlife to disturb one.

The limited choice of fresh items, lets the Breakfast buffet down

Location,Personal Service & Value We arrived late in the day & requested special attention to permit us to catch an early AM flight the next day. The staff was most helpful in arranging for eariy morning breakfast, cab to airport, etc!

A few more grab bars in the tou & shower would have been a big help to us and might someday save the hotel from having to defend against a claim following a fall.

We decided to stay in Haarlem because we found it difficult to find a room in Amsterdam and we are so glad that we stayed in Haarlem. This hotel is right near the train station and conveniently located to the market and shopping area. Beautiful city and a good hotel.

It was a great choice for strolling in Haarlem and offered good value. The breakfast was delicious and staff were super friendly. Make sure to check out the nearby train station for easy access.

Wake-up service, available in my classic king room, was a nice bonus. The location was perfect, opposite a train station and easy to find. The most important was the staff - very hospitable and patient people.

The quadruple room was spacious and clean, perfect for my family. Breakfast had a great selection, including fresh fruit and pancakes. The location was superb, just a short walk from the train station. Staff were friendly and helpful 🍳
